COMPOSITION

Contains per ml:

Ivermectin                                             10    mg

 

DESCRIPTION

VETKOMECTIN INJ. is an injectable solution containing Ivermectin which belongs to the group of avermectins. It is very effective in the treatment and control of many endo- and ectoparasites.

 

INDICATIONS

VETKOMECTIN INJ. is indicated for the treatment and control of gastro-intestinal nematodes, lungworms, eye worms, warbles, mites, lice, psoroptic mange (sheep scab), nasal bots, mange mites, infective-stage heartworms, microfilariae, arthropods and ear mites in cattle, camels, sheep, goats, pigs, dogs and cats.

 

CONTRA-INDICATIONS

Do not inject intramuscularly or intravenously. Do not administer to other animals than indicated.

Do not use in dog breeds with genetic sensibility to ivermectin (e.g., collies, sheepdogs and collie- or sheepdog-cross breeds) as severe reactions may occur.

Do not use in animals in lactation if milk is intended for human consumption. Do not use in dairy animals within 28 days prior to calving.

 

SIDE EFFECTS

Painful and soft tissue swelling at the injection site has been observed.

 

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION

For subcutaneous injection only.

Cattle, sheep, goats, camels                              : 1 ml per 50 kg bodyweight.

Pigs                                                                        : 1 ml per 33 kg bodyweight.

Dogs, cats                                                             : 0.1 ml per 5 kg bodyweight.

 

WITHDRAWAL PERIOD

Meat:

   Pigs      : 21 days

   Other   : 28 days

 

PACKING

50 ml multidose vial packed in individual box (96 vials per export carton).

100 ml multidose vial packed in individual box (48 vials per export carton).
