COMPOSITION

Sulphadiazine sodium 500 mg
DESCRIPTION
The combination of trimethoprim and Sulphadiazine acts synergistic and used to treat a wide variety of bacterial infections such as urine, respiratory and intestinal infections caused by Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, such as Staphylococci, Streptococci, E. coli, Klebsiella spp., Salmonella spp., Proteus mirabilis, Pasteurella spp., Enterobacter aerogenes, Haemophilus influenza and Corynebacterium spp. Avibacterium paragallinarum.
INDICATIONS
VETKO SULTRIM 100/500 WSP is indicated for gastrointestinal, respiratory and urinary tract infections caused by trimethoprim and Sulphadiazine sensitive bacteria like E. coli, Haemophilus, Pasteurella, Salmonella, Staphylococcus and Streptococcus spp. in calves, sheep, goats, pigs and poultry.
CONTRA-INDICATIONS
Do not administer to animals with a severe impaired liver and/or renal function. Do not administer to animals hypersensitive to sulfonamides or trimethoprim. Do not use in animals with impaired hematopoietic systems. Do not administer to animals suffering from oliguria or anuria. Do not use in layers producing eggs for human consumption.
SIDE EFFECTS
Hypersensitivity reactions, cross-resistance to sulfonamides.
INCOMPATIBILITY WITH OTHER DRUGS
Do not combine with other veterinary medicinal products.
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION
For oral administration via feed, milk-replace or drinking water.
Calves, lambs, kids : 5 g per 50 kg bodyweight twice daily, for 4 - 7 days.
Poultry, pigs : 500 g per 1,000 liters of drinking water for 4 - 7 days.
Mixed with feed, the product should be used immediately.
Medicated drinking water should be used within 24 hours.
WITHDRAWAL PERIOD
Meat:
Calves, lambs, kids and swine: 8 days.
Poultry: 3 days.
STORAGE
Store in a dry and dark place between 8 °C and 25 °C.
Store in closed packing.
Keep away from children.

Jar of 1,000 g (12 jars per box).
